Using an oxygen ion conductive zirconia solid electrolyte, the Denso Oxygen Sensor detects if the exhaust gas air/fuel ratio is stoichiometrict. The Denso Oxygen Sensor has a zirconia solid electrolyte integrated with an alumina heater substrate, allowing it to more quickly detect oxygen concentration with a light-off time of 10 seconds. The Denso Oxygen Sensor controls porosity and surface conditions of a platinum detection electrode resulting in high accuracy detection. The sensor cover has a unique water-resistant structure that smoothly introduces exhaust gas without allowing water to invade, achieving short response time and high reliability.
